Mexico-Cancun

When one thinks of stunning white sand beaches and turquoise waters, often the long stretch of oceanfront in Cancun, Mexico comes to mind. This popular resort area is not short on stunning beachfront perfect for everything from lazing the day away with the hottest paperback fiction to wind surfing and parasailing. Certainly when in Cancun, sun lovers are not spoiled for choice. With over 13 miles of pristine beach, a Cancun vacation guarantees that you will return home with an enviable tan. There are however, some superior sandy spots along this white slice of beach heaven. Some may be shocked to learn that a few of the beaches in Cancun out shine the others. Even in paradise there are standouts that offer undeniable beauty and stunning views.

Looking for a glistening piece of sand away from the maddening hotel zone then head to North Beach, Playa Norte, situated on the northern end of Isle Mujeres, a small island off the coast of Cancun. Fear not, it’s easy to access and is one of the only spots that you can actually see the sun set over the ocean in this part of Mexico. Shear clear, shallow water and white, white sand is what you will find at North Beach along with a host of beach bars all serving cold cerveza and fresh to order salsa, guacamole and chips.

If venturing away from the hotel zone does not sound appealing then Playa Delfines, Playa Forum and Playa Chac Mool are great options for you. Playa Delfines is Cancun’s largest beach and offers some of the most vibrant blue waters in the city. A mostly public access beach, this is where adventure lives. Parasailers, jet skiers and more all flock to Playa Delfines to get an adrenaline rush.  If you are looking to meet people on your vacation then Playa Forum is the beach for you. The city’s most popular public beach access is always crowded with exciting locals and tourists looking to have some fun. It’s fun and social all day long at Playa Forum. But if all that energy is a little too much to take then Playa Chac Mool will appeal to you. Quiet, laid back and less populated this beach is right next to Playa Forum without the umbrellas, lounge chairs and crowds. So on your next trip to Cancun, pick your beach of choice, or better yet, book a vacation long enough to experience them all.
