There are several companies that can help you with your safari arrangements in order to get the best out of this experience.

There are some “Game Reserves” (area reserved for the conservation of wild animals) like the Leshoka Thabang Game Reserve, Doorndraaidam Nature Reserve, and Percy Fyfe Nature Reserve. There you can relax and enjoy the spectacular views, or enjoy some time by the fire.

Some of the reserves also offer environmental awareness activities that attract kids and adults, so be ready for what’s waiting for you there.

Kruger National Park

About three hours from Mokopane, you’ll find this fantastic park, which is the largest in South Africa, and one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world.

Kruger National Park lies on the Lowveld plains and has a mix of savanna and sparse shrub (small woody plants).

This park is divided into 16 different sections according to the type of vegetation located there.

This is a prime location to admire the Big Five: lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes. You can also find some other species like cheetahs, crocodiles, several antelope species, impalas, zebras, and baboons.

This is also a preferred destination for birdwatchers, especially in Punda Maria, the northernmost corner of Kruger, where they can spot the beloved Narina Trogon, some crested guinea fowl, or white fronted bee-eaters.

You’ll find several “Game-watching” or advantage viewing points along the way inside the park, where you can admire from elevated platforms the majestic nature developing in front of your eyes.

There are also some good picnic facilities ready for you to enjoy the whole day admiring this magnificent park.
